BANGOREJO, Jawa Pos Radar Tile – Suspected of stealing a car, Setiawan, 20, from Rejoagung Hamlet, Sumberagung Village, Kecamatan Pesanggaran, beaten by a mob on Saturday (22/4). Fortunately, the police who received reports from residents immediately came to the location. The young man whose face was already battered was saved.
For legal proceedings, the suspect is currently being thrown into the police detention room while undergoing examination by police investigators. "We are still investigating the suspect,"explained the Head of Pesanggaran Police, AKP Sutarkam through Ipda Criminal Investigation Unit Gatot Kukuh Suryawan.
According to Gatot, The alleged car theft started when Setiawan suddenly got into Lestari's Toyota Avanza, 46, the origin of Pasembon Hamlet, Sambirejo Village, Bangorejo District parked in front of his house. 'The perpetrator pressed the car button,” he said to Jawa Pos Radar Genteng yesterday (24/4).
When the perpetrator was in the car, it's clear, some people saw it. The resident reported to Lestari who was in the house. "The victim immediately screamed to attract the attention of residents,” he said while referring to the residents arriving and removing the young man from the car.
Several angry residents, immediately beat the young man busy to a pulp. Fortunately, Police officers who received a report immediately came to the location. "We immediately took the perpetrator to the police," he said.
During an inspection at the police station, it's clear, the answers given are irrelevant. Allegedly, The young man has a mental disorder. "He's a little mentally disturbed, because it is less connected when invited to interaction," he explained.
From the statement of his family who came to the police, still said Gatot, Setiawan once had a traffic accident and had to have head surgery. "From family confessions, since the accident often exhibits strange behavior,"he said.(sas/abi)
