BANYUWANGI – The construction process of the Trans Java toll road is now entering the construction of the east side. That is, toll road that connects from Probolinggo to Banyuwangi.

District government (district government) Banyuwangi recently met the management of PT Jasa Marga as the developer of the toll road to accommodate the architectural concept that is unique to the local culture.

“It will be cool, especially in the future combined with the revitalization of the Ketapang Port which will be worked on by the BUMN PT ASDP with an iconic architectural approach involving the famous architect Gregorius Supie,” he added.
Regent Anas sure, the development of the toll road will further stimulate the Banyuwangi economy.
“We will further unify the Bali and Banyuwangi marketing packages, because via this toll road it's easier and faster to get to Banyuwangi and Bali. To Banyuwangi, can get Bali. To Bali, can get Banyuwangi,” he explained.
Several developments have also been carried out by Banyuwangi to welcome the operation of the toll road in the next few years.
“People-based tourism continues to grow. Culinary attractions in destinations are growing rapidly. Then there is Jatim Park which is under construction. Then there are natural destinations full of charm. Everyone is ready to welcome the surge in visits as the toll road operates in the future,” beber Regent Anas.
Meanwhile, President Director of PT Jasa Marga Probowangi Hari Pratama agrees with a number of ideas from the Banyuwangi Regency Government. His party really appreciates the need for local architecture in the construction of toll roads.
“In principle we really appreciate this idea. The challenge is only to combine the uniqueness of local architecture with the regulatory standards that have been set by the ministry,” clear.

Currently, the process of constructing the toll road to Banyuwangi has entered the public consultation process for later land acquisition. The toll road to Banyuwangi uses land owned by Perhutani of 42 percent. The other is community land, state land, and the land of PT Kereta Api.
“After land acquisition is completed this year, we immediately rushed the process,” he said.
