TRIBUNJATIM.COM, BANYUWANGI – A man in Banyuwangi got electric shock when cutting tree branches, Friday (7/4/2023).
The victim spent tens of minutes in a tree waiting to be evacuated.
Luckily his life was saved.
Kabat Police Chief, Inspector Sumono explain, The incident occurred in Kabat Village, District of Kabat, Banyuwangi.
The victim is Rohman, local residents who were asked by their neighbors to help cut tree branches.
“The victim was told by residents to cut branches Mango tree which is on the terrace of the house,” say Inspector Sumono.
The victim came to his neighbor's house at around 1:00 p.m 05.30 WIB, and immediately climbed the tree carrying a tool to cut off the disturbing branches.
Initially the process of cutting the branches went without problems.
“But approx 10 minutes later, the victim was electrocuted,” carry on Inspector Sumono.
The sting came from a cable running around the mango tree.
Most likely, Rohman got electric shock when you want to cut a branch that is attached to the cable.
This incident was known directly to local residents.
Residents then took the initiative to report it to the Kabat Police. They did not dare to evacuate the victims because they were afraid they would come along got electric shock.
