Denpasar, Jurnalnews – Environmental Health Department, Health Polytechnic, Ministry of Health, Denpasar, realizes its commitment to environmental awareness and community service through synergistic collaboration with Eco Enzyme Nusantara, Bali Province in commemoration of World Eco Enzyme Day this year 2024 and celebrating the 22nd anniversary of the Environmental Health Department Student Association by holding a series of activities, including a fast water fishing competition held in the Oongan DAM Denpasar River Basin area. This activity carries the theme "epic Journeys for Environment Harmonization" Sunday (07/01/24)

This activity was opened by the Director of the Denpasar Ministry of Health Polytechnic, Dr. Sri Rahayu, S.Tr, Cab, S.Kep, Ners, M.Kes and its ranks were marked by pouring eco enzyme and stocking fish. This activity was also attended by the Chair of Eco Enzyme Nusantara Bali, Ir. Ketut Rawi Adnyani, head of program, Head of the local environment and the entire academic community of the Environmental Health Department as well as the competition participants.

This activity is a concrete manifestation of the spirit of active involvement in community service and environmental protection. Swift water fishing competitions are held at carefully selected locations, ensure participant safety, fulfill educational aspects and still pay attention to the sustainability of the river ecosystem.

Dr. Sri Rahayu, S.Tr, Cab, S.Kep, Ners, M. Who, Director of Health Polytechnic, Ministry of Health, Denpasar, stated, “We are committed to not only producing superior health workers, but also plays an active role in environmental conservation. "The collaboration between the Denpasar Ministry of Health Polytechnic, especially the Department of Environmental Health, and Eco Enzyme Nusantara Bali is a concrete step in realizing these values," he said..

Competition participants come from various circles, including students, lecturer, and the general public. The competitive atmosphere is full of enthusiasm with high sportsmanship, while still paying attention to the principles of sustainability and responsibility towards the environment and preserving river ecosystems.

Apart from fishing competitions, This series of activities also aims to introduce the Environmental Health Department to the wider community as the only Environmental Health Department under the Ministry of Health in Bali where graduates are currently very much needed and have extensive job opportunities in various sectors, both in the government and private sectors.. The activities carried out are a contribution to preserving the watershed ecosystem and the use of Eco Enzyme as an environmentally friendly alternative. The Department of Environmental Health is one of the departments at the Denpasar Ministry of Health Polytechnic which is always committed to contributing to saving the environment and public health through the implementation of the Tri Darma of Higher Education by synergizing with various parties who have a vision and mission that is in line with improving the level of public health and saving the environment.

The celebration of the 22nd anniversary of the Environmental Health Department Student Association also enlivened the atmosphere of the event. The event closed with the presentation of prizes to the winners of the fishing competition and ended with an environmental cleanup action at the local location.

Hopefully this activity can be an inspiration for other educational institutions to be more actively involved in environmental conservation and community service. The Environmental Health Department of the Denpasar Ministry of Health Polytechnic provides a clear example that health education is not only related to medical aspects, but also has a positive impact on the environment and society at large.
