Residents of Panjen Village, Jambewangi Village, Sempu Kecamatan District, Banyuwangi, shocked by the hanging of a teenager with the initials AFM (18) in the bedroom, Wednesday (27/10/21).
The first victim was known to his mother, until finally he was immediately rushed to the Community Health Center by his biological father.
Sempu Police Chief, Banyuwangi Police, Inspector Karyadi, when confirmed regarding the hanging incident, confirmed it.
The Sempu Police received a report from the Head of Panjen Hamlet, Jambewangi Village, and the police follow up by inspecting the scene of the incident (crime scene).
“It happened around 1 p.m 04:00 WIB, the victim hanged himself using a nylon rope wound into a thick coil, " said Inspector Karyadi.
Still Sempu Police Chief, From witness statements, initially the victim was boarding at one of the Kediri Islamic boarding schools, East Java, I've been reminded to leave immediately.
However, the victim kept delaying, until it was finally discovered that he had died. Because the victim's biological father thought he was still alive, he immediately cut the rope and took him to the Community Health Center to receive immediate medical attention.
“However, he was declared dead from the Community Health Center, " explained the Head of Sempu Police.
Because the family was reluctant to carry out an autopsy, and the victim's body was not found to have any wounds from the abuse. So the family was asked by the police to make a statement so that the body could be buried immediately. ( MBAH DIN/DIK)
