Banyuwangi, Jawa Timur – Nasib tragis menimpa Mujiono (39), from Sarongan Village, Kecamatan Pesanggaran,Banyuwangi. This fisherman disappeared into the sea after being struck by lightning while fishing, Saturday (12/11/2022) evening. Allegedly, the victim was swept away by the waves when his body was thrown from the boat. Until Sunday (13/11/2022) afternoon, the victim's body is still being searched. The joint SAR team is still continuing to search for victims around the incident location.
The unfortunate incident began when the victim was with his friend, Harianto (40), hunting fish using a small boat. around 17.00 WIB, heavy clouds arrived. Not long ago, A flash of lightning struck. The victim had tried to pull over. Unfortunately, when packing, Lightning struck these two fishermen. Mujiono's victim was immediately thrown, lost in the waves. Meanwhile, Harianto suffered a number of injuries.
A number of fishermen who saw this incident rushed to provide help. The injured victims were evacuated.
