Jakarta, Jurnalnews – Guitarist for the legendary band Voodoo, Edo Widiz built a new music group with Andrea and Tixxy. The music group called E.A.T is ready to hit the country's rock music industry with its first single entitled Menyala Abangku, released by PasarLagu Indonesia together with music label Ladofa Doredo on Wednesday (3/7/2024) on various digital music platforms.
While in Seoul, Korea on Friday (5/7/2024), Edo Widiz told the media crew via his WhatsApp account that he liked starting a band with Tixxy and Andrea, because they have known each other for a long time. Tixxy and Andrea were Arrangers on several of Edo Widiz's singles in his solo career.
Edo Widiz has been a Voodoo guitarist since its inception and remains active until now. Despite being a personal E.A.T, Edo Widiz is sure that it will not affect his activities at Voodoo.
“Changes in schedules are normal. Just arrange it, I'm sure I'll just keep working,” wrote Edo Widiz with a laughing emoticon.
For Edo Widiz, the priority is just working. With E.A.T or with others, he never limits himself in creating, especially with friends who he knows in terms of quality and frequency of work with him. Edo Widiz is sure that he will always be consistent in continuing to work with E.A.T.
On different occasions, Andrea said E.A.T has three personnel, that is: Or Widiz (lead guitar), Andrea (guitar), and Tixxy (bass, vocal), carries the flow of modern rock music. They call E.A.T's music genre modern rock, because Edo Widiz's basics are in rock, then there is a touch of synthesizer and several DJ characters which make their music packaging modern and contemporary.
“We present easy listening rock music with characteristic modern sounds, combines the rock character of Edo Widiz with contemporary music to become a new character that is fresher to listen to today. And I am very honored to be appointed as Arranger and Composer for the song Menyala Abangku, with Mr. Rulli Aryanto,said Andrea.
Andrea also said, the name E.A.T was created by Rulli Aryanto who is the Producer of E.A.T, taken from the initials of the personal's first names. They hope that their songs can be "eaten" or accepted and enjoyed by music listeners everywhere.
Meanwhile Vocalist and Bassist E.A.T, Tixxy said, the E.A.T project just flowed. Initially, Tixxy and Edo Widiz had collaborated on their first song entitled "Ku Bisa Can't Hold". On this song, Andrea was the arranger.
“Edo Widiz and I are typical musicians who like to create, So when I was with Rulli Aryanto and Andrea playing at Mas Edo's house, come a question, Is there a second song?? In short, finally the E.A.T project was born, aka Edo Widiz, Andrea, and Tixxy. The song Mengala Abangku, written by Rulli Aryanto, was the first single,Tixxy said.
Principles that Tixxy believes in, doing things he likes. Working on music is his pleasure. Tixxy enjoys being able to create and collaborate with many people. It does seem idealistic, because Tixxy doesn't have a target that its songs must be famous or go viral. The most important thing is that Tixxy is happy and enjoys doing it, because the work he creates will become a digital footprint.
According to Tixxy, The E.A.T project was created because they all love creating. The term, they do nothing to loose. As long as they enjoy working, they will always release the next songs. Have the same frequency in viewing a work, is enough for them to commit.
Rulli Aryanto and Andrea, who wrote the song "Menyala Abangku" said that they got the inspiration for the song because the idiom "Menyala Abangku" was being widely used by netizens.. Rulli Aryanto likes it, because this idiom has a positive and enthusiastic meaning.
According to Rulli Aryanto, The song Menyala Abangku tells about a life full of struggle. In living life, you have to keep fighting until you achieve your dreams for a better future.
“The E.A.T personnel each do music full time, and it is very easy to unite them with the abilities of each personnel. But the best thing is that each of them has no expectations in their work, so just flow. They work because they like and love music,said Rulli Aryanto.
