KOMPAS.com – Jarot Setiawan, former Indonesian workers (TKI), achieve success in their own country.

A man from Siliragung District, Banyuwangi, This has tried its luck many times in Taiwan.

Feeling unsuccessful in someone else's country, Jarot finally decided to return home to Banyuwangi to start and build his own business.

In the former orange orchard in Seneporejo Village, Siliragung District, Jarot used it to build a Sapera type dairy goat farming business.

On the neat and clean farm, around 200 cattle tail. That's where Jarot produces goat's milk.

Jarot said, before starting a dairy goat farming business, he admitted working as a migrant worker in Taiwan.

“Saya bekerja di sana selama dua kali, from year 1999 until 2002 and come back again from year to year 2006 sampai 2009,” kata Jarot, Friday (5/7/2024).

After returning to my hometown, Jarot tried his luck as an orange farmer. However, since 2016 he switched to dairy goat farming.

“Waktu itu kerja welding in Taiwan, then went home to join the orange farming with the family. Until finally choosing to raise dairy goats since 2018 2016 to date," he said.

Jarot said, it has approx 200 productive dairy goats of the Sapera type.

The average goat's milk production reaches 700-1.000 liters per week, or hundreds of liters of goat's milk per day.

“Satu kambing rata-rata bisa menghasilkan 1 until 2 liters of milk every day. Average total per day can be obtained 100-150 liter, depending on the productivity of the goat,” jelas Jarot.

Jarot added, The goat's milk produced every week is sent to supplier milk powder factories in Yogyakarta and Semarang.

According to Jarot, sales to suppliers in frozen form. You can take it every week 700 until 1.000 liter of goat's milk.

“Untuk susu kambing per liternya dihargai Rp 16.000,” tuturnya.
