Banyuwangi Needs Super Team

BANYUWANGI – Regent Abdullah Azwar Anas warned the ranks of the bureaucracy within the Banyuwangi Regency Government to increase solidity and a culture of innovation at work. Solidity and good cooperation are needed to ensure the continuity of accelerated development in Banyuwangi.

According to Anas, bureaucracy is one of the keys to development. Because of that, it takes strong solidity between bureaucratic circles to advance Banyuwangi together. “This bureaucracy is the key to development programs. Can't be a one man show. We don't need Superman, but super team. If one man shows, definitely dehydrated in the middle of the road,Said Anas.

Area repair work, said Anas, not like a sprint alias race fast, but running a marathon aka fighting endurance. So it takes the cooperation of many parties, need a change of bureaucracy, not just the actions of regional heads alone.

According to Anas, innovation must be entrenched so that whoever the leader or whoever the regional head is, innovation continues. One of the strategies pursued is to involve all levels in the work unit of the regional apparatus (SKPD) or departments to discuss programs and targets together.

Anas gave an example, on 4 January arrives 6 last January, he gathered the bureaucracy based on assignment clusters to attend coordination meetings. For example, Coordinating meetings for the health sector involve the Health Office, hospital, Public health center, and Social Service.

Not only the head of the service or the director of the Hospital, Heads of departments and heads of sections were also involved, of course by adjusting the time of service to the public. Anas says, the involvement of all levels up to the staff level is carried out as part of the steps to cultivate innovation.

After the coordination meeting, all targets are signed along with the measured time. This step was taken to align the waves in facing increasingly dynamic challenges. “All section heads and field heads attended the presentation, meaning he understands the program. So innovation does not depend on who the head of the department is or who the regent is, but innovation is indeed an obligation to improve the performance of the bureaucracy, said Anas.

By giving room for innovation down to the staff level below, Anas hopes, bureaucratic reform can be sustainable. Not just for a moment based on who is the leader or regional head. "And it's proven to be effective. The staff below are very happy to be able to discuss programs and targets with regional heads. This spurred their spirits. They compete to innovate," he explained.

Anas gave an example, the effectiveness of the involvement of all levels of the bureaucracy in the last two years- khir, SKPD ranks, so that villages seem to compete in innovation. Every day he gets reports on innovation programs run by each agency.

"All ranks compete, but competing in a good context, namely innovation. As an example, The results of yesterday's Health Coordination Meeting emphasized the innovation of the Puskesmas to pick up the ball for parents to monitor their health, today is done. Several health centers immediately sent photos, For example, auxiliary health center
in the Tile District, said Anas. (radar)
