Banyuwangi – This weekend various events were held in Banyuwangi. One of them is an art exhibition and creative products wrapped up in Banyuwangi Art Week & Culinary and Sekarkijang Creative Fest 2024 on 28-30 June 2024 in the Gesibu Banyuwangi area.

Various creations from local entrepreneurs in Banyuwangi and surrounding districts were displayed attractively at the event which was fully supported by Bank Indonesia (BI) Jember Office. There are hundreds of products from 56 MSMEs assisted by BI Jember come from Banyuwangi and surrounding areas such as Jember, Bondowoso, Situbondo (Sekarkijang).

Among them is fashion made from batik, eco print materials to contemporary fashion. There are also various processed food products available, such as various traditional pastries, processed fruit, fish, poultry, jamu, palm sugar to the local coffee shop. Apart from that, various craft products such as furniture and bamboo crafts are also displayed, various knitted products, accessories and home decor to various leather crafts.

"Thank you to BI Jember for continuing to provide assistance to local business actors so that they develop. This event is like a showcase for MSME products that have been well developed by BI, the quality is also good," said Regent Ipuk Fiestiandani, Friday (28/6/2024).

Ipuk appreciated this collaboration program which featured MSME products from various regions. "We hope that there will be collaboration with MSMEs in the surrounding area, will open wider insight and business networks for MSME players. "So that their business can grow further," hoped the Regent of Ipuk.

Apart from facilitating MSMEs, This event also accommodates the artistic creativity of local young people. For three days, Visitors can enjoy performances of various artistic acts on the Gesibu stage. Starting from the Jazz Patrol Show, Traditional dance, Street Children's Music Festival, Singing Competition to Cooking Competition. There will also be performances by a number of local and national musicians.

This event will also present dozens of typical Banyuwangi culinary stands serving typical "Pindang Koyong" food from a number of residents' favorite food stalls.. Pindang Koyong is a soup dish made from sea fish with a fresh taste.

“Every year we alternately present local specialties, for example previously Pecel Pitik, Spicy Chicken, Pecel Rawon and others. The hope is that more regional specialties will become known nationally," said Ipuk.

Added the Head of the Banyuwangi Micro Business Cooperatives and Trade Service, Nanien Oktaviantie, as a chain of Banyuwangi Art Week 2024, Bank Indonesia Jember has also held a National Seminar to increase the capacity of regional MSMEs. The seminar took place on 27 June 2024 at Pendopo Sabha swagata.

Meanwhile, during the exhibition at Gesibu Blambangan, Every day there will also be a talk show to provide insight for regional MSMEs on various themes ranging from the use of social media for promotions to export opportunities.
